Meet the Team

Dan

Dan has over a decade of experience helping students get accepted at top boarding schools, as well as undergraduate and graduate programs at the Ivy League and equivalent level. He was formerly an active member of the Columbia Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed candidates for admissions.

Dan received his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Master of Laws with Distinction in International Banking and Finance from University College London. He also graduated magna cum laude a year early from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Religion and Neuroscience.

Cindy

Cindy has over ten years of experience in US boarding school and undergraduate admissions, and also has expertise in student athlete recruitment. She was formerly an active member of the Princeton Alumni Representative Committee and interviewed students for admissions.

Cindy graduated from Princeton University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History. She was also a letter-winner on Princeton’s NCAA Division I Varsity Tennis Team. Prior to Princeton, Cindy attended Hong Kong International School and was a top player on the Hong Kong National Tennis Team.

Lucy

Lucy specializes in UK admissions for boarding schools and universities. She is also an expert in international school admissions in Hong Kong. Lucy graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a degree in Government and Economics and a Master of Science with Distinction in Analysis Design & Management of Information Systems. Prior to attending LSE, she studied at Benenden School in Kent.

Michael graduated with honours from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in History and a minor Asian Languages. He completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the University of Hong Kong.

Hazel

Hazel specialises in tutoring Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics for all major curriculums and provides supervision at university level. She graduated from Oxford University with a First Class Honours in MEng Engineering Science and is now working towards a PhD in Computational Biology. Prior to university, she was the top scorer globally and in Malaysia for A-Level Chemistry and AS-Level Mathematics respectively, and achieved A* on all A-Level science and math exams. Hazel formerly served as a member of the admissions team for St. Hilda’s College, Oxford University, and has extensive experience supporting students planning to pursue mathematics and the sciences.

Rosie

Rosie specialises in tutoring History at across the IGCSE, A-Level and IB curricula, as well as English Language and Literature and French and Mathematics at the IGCSE level. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Cambridge, and is now pursuing a Masters in Economic and Social History at Cambridge. Rosie has extensive experience preparing students for Oxbridge admissions. She also prepares students for the Common Entrance exams.

Anissa

Anissa specialises in teaching Biology and Chemistry, as well as medical school entrance exams such as BMAT and UCAT. Having graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences, specialising in Pathology, Anissa is currently a medical student at the University of Cambridge. With numerous academic prizes and scholarships, she has great enthusiasm for the biological sciences. Anissa has experience from several teaching roles and aims to always provide individualised learning geared for success. Hilary

She is also experienced in preparing students for standardized tests such as the MAP, SCAT, SSAT and ISEE. Hilary is a PhD candidate in Neurobiology at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to that, she earned a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior and a minor in English Literature at the University of California, Davis; and attended Li Po Chun United World College where she studied the IBDP.

Giles

Giles specialises in teaching humanities subjects including English, History and Geography. He also works closely with young children in building their English and math foundations. Giles graduated from Edinburgh University with a Master of Arts in History. Prior to that, he attended Charterhouse School, a renowned boarding school in the UK, where he studied for his GCSEs, A-Levels and Pre-U. Before joining Aegis, Giles taught English at the post-secondary level and also gained extensive experience in preparing students for interviews.

Zak

Santhia graduated from the University of Western Australia, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Anatomical Sciences and also a Graduate Diploma of Education, with a focus on secondary and special needs education. Santhia enjoys working with students of all ages and tutors them on a range of subjects including English, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. She also helps students prepare for standardized exams such as the SSAT, SAT, ACT and the Common Entrance.

Melinda

Melinda graduated from Central Saint Martins with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design and Marketing. She is also a graduate of the King George V School in Hong Kong. Melinda has extensive experience working in various fashion houses and retail companies, including Lane Crawford, Raf Simons and Agatha Paris, and is currently working on the launch of her own swimwear brand in Asia.

She enjoys helping students who aspire to pursue their education and careers in art, design and fashion, by working closely with them through the unique application process and helping them develop strong portfolios.

Cora is a pioneer in marriage, parent, child, and family coaching, and has worked with hundreds of families for over 10 years. A coach, speaker, trainer and parent of two teenagers herself, Cora strives to foster understanding by bridging generational and cultural gaps, and makes difficult and sensitive topics accessible to any audience.

Cora holds two degrees from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Board Certified Life Coach. She has spoken at and worked with families in a number of international and local schools, and also corporates, in Hong Kong.
